Funky Fairy (take two) and Sketch Saturday

I really liked this week's sketch over on Sketch Saturday. I bought some lovely Dovecraft papers today so chopped up a few of them and then used my new Whiff of Joy stamp, Willow with Hot Chocolate and coloured her in using my Derwent pencils. The red strip of card is Real red from SU as is the sentiment stamp.
I decided to use the sketch for the Funky Fairy challenge again and this time use some of the free Funky Fairy papers. These are blue Christmas papers and can be downloaded from the website. I also used blue ribbon and buttons from my stash and a peel-off greeting.

Funky Fairy Challenge 42

This week's challenge was to use a sketch and the theme was Christmas. You could do either or a combination. I have decided to combine. The papers, chipboard and sticker are from Boxer by Basic Grey- just scrummy. The ribbon (strip at bottom) is from my stash. The stamp of the little girl is by Personal Impressions and she has been watercoloured with Derwent Inktense pencils.

Friday Sketchers and Sketch Saturday challenges

I have made another two Christmas cards using the sketches from these challenges. The Friday Sketchers card has a lovely image from Whiff of Joy, coloured with Derwent Inktense. I didn't manage to make it in time to enter but thought I'd blog it anyway. The shimmery paper is from my stash and the ribbon is by American Crafts.
The Saturday Sketcher card image is by Paper Artsy.Paper and cardstock from my stash and the horizontal strip has been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

UKS challenge

Last week's challenge was to use a sketch, French title, red, white and blue and some bling. I have used photos of my boys first attempt at ice-skating last winter and other Christmas photos of the boys and my little nephew. The papers and embellishments are form a Brenda Pinnick kit and the bling is courtesy of Stickles.
Hope you like it

Christmas is coming!!!

I spent last Wednesday afternoon making the first of my Christmas cards. The stamps with the little boy in them are by Whiff of Joy and the snowpersons stamps are from the Stitchels range, designed by my friend Hels.I also made plenty use of my Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder. Here they are scattered all over my dining table- much to hubby's annoyance!!!!

Sunday Stampers- Tie a Yellow Ribbon

This week's challenge is to use yellow in your card. I have been busy making Christmas cards today so decided to use yellow in one of them to enter. The stamps is from Whiff of Joy, Charlotte & Charlie Winter Collection. I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and matted it onto some gold paper. I took some yellow Bazzill and embossed it using my fabby new Cuttlebug embossing folder. I don't own a Cuttlebug but the Big Shot does the job just as well. I matted this onto the card blank and then positioned the image using foam pads. I took a peel off greeting, placed it on white CS and matted it on the yellow Bazzill before attaching it to the card. Hope you like it and thanks for the challenge Hels.
